Biography of Rob Toomey
Rob joined the SpeedReading People® team full time in January of 2005. In addition to his role as Director of Business Development, Rob is also a certified trainer for SpeedReading People® and provides training within large companies and law firms. Prior to joining the company, Rob was a corporate attorney for 5 years beginning with Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault and then with Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Boston where he focused primarily on venture capital and leveraged buy-out transactions. He holds a BA with honors in both Philosophy and English Literature from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He also holds a JD from Boston University School of Law. History of SpeedReading People®, LLC SpeedReading People® was developed by Paul Tieger, author of the best-selling book Do What You Are and three other books related to personality type, including The Art
of SpeedReading People. Paul pioneered the application of Personality Type as a tool to assist trial attorneys in selecting and communicating with jurors, and has worked on dozens of high-profile civil and criminal cases. Through the use of video interviews and an online profiler system (for post workshop practice), the SpeedReading People® program empowers managers, sales professionals, attorneys, executives and human resources professionals to communicate more successfully in every interaction. SpeedReading People® also offers certification training to HR professionals within organizations. The company was officially formed in the fall of 2004 and is based in Hartford, CT.
